It was time to get a hair cut - I wanted a change, so I went quite short, for me. Then I enjoyed a lunch date with a great new friend. We went to the Thai Orchid Room and I had the sampler plate. Delicious!

I did a "day in the life" photography project today and loved it! I simply took photos throughout my day to document the things that happen in a regular day in my life. It was a great reminder of what a great life I have and how meaningful the ordinary things I do each day truly are.

We spent the evening out in Strathmore to watch my gorgeous niece play in a basketball tournament. She is a super star! We were happy to be there to show our support as well as to let the kids have some play time with their cousins.

Calgary tradition! We can't visit Calgary without a visit to Peter's - The drive in you CAN'T drive by! We got milkshakes and onion rings (they have the BEST onion rings ever). We tried vanillla-caramel, lime-marshmallow, orange-licorice, and pina colada shakes this time. SO GOOD!

Proud of my girl - she received the Circle of Courage award! She was awarded it for being a "Shining Star" in her class. According to her teachers, she has made new friends quickly and been an influence for good around the entire school. She is friendly and kind to everyone she meets and displays a genuinely warm personality. She puts forth her best effort in every class (receiving First Class Honors in Math and Science, and possibly more classes - can't remember). Her teachers think she is an overall outstanding student, and I couldn't agree more. Well deserved, TJ!

Made some herbed bread in my slow cooker to bring to our Relief Society activity tonight - "Crock Pot Extravaganza!". I sampled a LOT of new recipes and learned some really helpful tips that have me excited to use my crock pot a lot more!

TJ and B each packed a cute picnic basket for their "lunchbox social" activity for Young Women's. It was a joint activity with the Young Men, who participated in games and challenges in which they earned "bucks". They then used their "bucks" to bid on a lunch box - then whoever won would share the dinner with the girl who brought it. I remember doing this when I was in Young Women's, too, and it is always a lot of fun. They had a great time!

Starting a new church calling as the Ward Mission Leader. He will be great as he loves working with the missionaries and sharing the gospel with others. The best part is, I was called as a ward missionary - so we get to work together!
